In my country , there re no part time jobs for teenagers who re under 18 ! That really sucks ! My friends who re in my age can earn lots of money in their countries and buy eveything they want by their own money . How about me ?! I'm soo poor and depend on my parents too much .
In my country ... Adults dont want us , they dont want kids ! God ! They re sooo stupid , dont they ? Teenagers like us can do everything like adults and we dont need high payment though .
I dont know how about u guys ?!

they won't give you job because you are too young to do a job. and your main task is studying, not work.

We do need to know more about life to have experiences and get ready for life when we graduate Highskool or University ! Do you think it is really good for us to depend on parents ?! To us ( who depends on parents ) we always think that life is soo beautiful but it is not ! I dont know but i think so . Maybe you re right , we should only study but i sitll want a part time job to grow up =]

Asian parents are different from western parents. basically, Asian parents are over-protecting to their kids.

Don't worry...when you become an university student, you can get to know more about the world. be patient Wink

how weird is eastern culture, so they don't like kids?????? how weird, and obviously they neither like women, everybody knows how bad are treated women in arabian countries
i really feel bad for kids and women from those countries
although i'm a man, and i would be treated as a king in those countries, my family is the opposity from eastern culture, my parents always showed their preference for my sisters, just because they are women, i even think my dad don't love me just because i;m a man

Vietnam is not an Arabian country. It's a Southeast Asian country and is culturally more closely related to Far East Asian countries.

Maybe you misunderstand because you are young. Your parents are showing the Western concept of chivalry to your sisters. You know, because women are on average physically weaker than men, we must be gentle with them and show more kindness to them than to other men. Your parents expect you to be strong and do not need to be so cared for. It may not seem like it, but in a way it is showing you respect as a man.

I understand and I agree. Your first job is to study in school to prepare you for the future. But a parttime job is also good and not only for the money. A parttime job teaches you responsibility, how to manage your time, and a good work ethic. In my country it is very common for teenagers to get very simple parttime jobs they can do a few days each week after school or on the weekends. Many teenagers work at fast food restaurants, cinemas (selling tickets and popcorn), dessert shops, amusement parks, and the like. I wish you good luck in finding a restaurant and convincing the owner that you can clean tables or whatever and he doesn't have to pay you much for such simple work that he needs to have done. His experienced higher-paid workers can do more important jobs for him.

And yeah , most of my friends have those part time jobs
"A parttime job teaches you responsibility, how to manage your time, and a good work ethic" <<< i agree with this Smile Yeah just hope i can find a part time job like that but i think i even dont have time 'cuz i have to spend much time at skool , studying with my tutor after skool , doing the homework :/ And noone cares so hire me . I miss the feeling that i ccould earn the money myself in the first time . Iy was soo awesome , humn when i was like 8 ... i guess so . I and my brother had bunchs of picture books so we let kids around my house hire it and got money from it . It was cool Cool

If you can't find real jobs, then maybe you can find something to do to help neighbors or people you know, in exchange for money. They call this sort of work "under the table" work in English, since it exists outside of the official employment/wage/tax system.
