*fortune *as an uncountable noun means *chance ,esp regarding as a power affecting poeple 's lives or (good or bad) luck.
it as a countable noun means *large amount of money;person's destiny, fate;[usu pl]event or change in the life of a person or in the progress of a country, business and so on.*

Friends outweigh the fortune or Friends outweigh the fortunes?
in my opinion,*Friends outweigh the fortunes*is better.

on the whole,i think, *Friendship can be more cherished than the fortunes*is better .would you agree with me ?
i am eager to get your opinion!!
