Sentence 1 below is from a dictionary on hand. Is it possible to rewrite it into #2 below?
1. Needless to say, I was very upset about the whole thing.
2. It is needless to say that I was very upset about the whole thing.

Yes, you may rewrite #1 into #2. However, #1 is much more natural. |
