2.Inflation has been known to persist in periods of peace, in periods of decline and stagnate , and in periods of high and rising properity.
3.Mathematics and logic depend extensively on the deductive method of reasoning. |

I'd like to make a few suggestions:
1. A drama is a story intended to be presented by actors on a stage.
2. Inflation has been known to persist in periods of peace, in periods of decline and stagnation, and in periods of high and rising prosperity.
3. More usual is, "Mathematics and logic depend extensively on the method of deductive reasoning." |

Personally, I think a native speaker would write the sentence like this: "Inflation has been known to persist in periods of peace, decline and stagnation, and high and rising prosperity." Note: the final comma is optional. |
