Hello, teachers!

Which one is most natural or which one is wrong ?

1 a I'm going to take an examination next August.
b I'm going to take an examination in August.
c I'm going to take an examination in next August.

2 a They stated thier opinion in class.
b They stated their opinions in class.

3 a You have to not only read it but also summarize it.
b You have not only to read it but also to summarize it.

Both of these are correct, depending on context. They basically mean the same thing, though.


2 a They stated thier opinion in class.
b They stated their opinions in class.

Both of these are also correct. "A" would mean the class is in agreement, while "b" means that each individual has a different opinion.

3 a You have to not only read it but also summarize it.

This is correct, but you need a comma before "but".
