Would anyone kindly tell me about "Tooth Fairy"? What is it all about? What does it have to do with two dollars? Thank you in advance.

In the U.S., when a child begins to lose teeth, they place them under their pillow at night when they go to sleep. During the night, the parents take the teeth and put a small amount of money (possibly $2).
Children are taught to believe that a tooth fairy comes in the middle of the night and takes the teeth. This belief is similar to that of Santa or the Easter Bunny. |

I remember just 15 years ago it was only a quarter. If only our wages had increased as much as they have for the tooth fairy 
That's an 800% increase! |
