Hello.

M textbook about the population survey says "population of 15 years old or more" but I think "population of 15 year old or more" is correct.

which is correct?

Thanks a lot for the help.

If you are counting a population of people who ae 15 years old, then i would say: Population of 15 year olds.

Hello ab,

Yes, I want to count the population.

I, and my textbook also, would like to mean the total population of the people who are 15 years old and over 15 years old. The textbook says P1 is correct and I think P2 is correct.

P1: 15 years old and more
P2: 15 year old and more

Is eihter one correct?
How would you say?

Tetsu

Just a different slant on this issue.

Either one can be correct but in different contexts.

I would say "15 years old and more" if I am OK with older people responding, too. So 16 year olds could reply because they have lived 15 years. Hope that isn't confusing because as I read it, it seems odd.

I would say "15 year olds" if I only wanted that age group.

Hope that helps - Kristi
