Hi, there.

Look at the following sentences.

1. They got together at the meeting.
2. They got together for the meeting.

Which is correct?
If both are OK, what is the difference between them?

Would you give me your answer, please?

Thanks. Razz

Yes, they are both correct and they do have different meanings.

Sentence 2 means "people ("we") gathered in order to have a meeting."

Sentence 1, on the other hand, means "there was a meeting and at that meeting, several of us ("we") gathered for some other purpose (e.g., chatting)."
