In the movie, you pretend to be pantyless. Are you the type to go *commando*?

1. military specially trained soldier: a member of a military force specially trained to make dangerous raids

2. military specially trained unit: a military unit made up of commandos

3. history military Boer fighting unit: a force of Boer troops during the Boer War

Could anyone explain that?
Thanks

'Going commando' is a slang term meaning 'not wearing any underwear beneath your clothes'.

It can be used by men or women.

The first time I heard it used was by Joey and Rachel in an episode of Friends (that one where Ross is getting very stressed because nobody's ready to go out and he has some important appointment he doesn't want to be late for).

Commando is a military term, but I've no idea how the phrase 'going commando' came about. Maybe soldiers prefer not to wear underwear?
