Dear Teachers,
which form is correct?
1. I like your school. I wish I went/had gone there too.
I vote for 'had gone' because it's past situation. Is that right?
2.This bus is really slow! I wish we took/had taken the train instead.

1. If you are no longer in school, then you would use had gone.
If you are still in school, then you would use was going (although in coloquial English you will hear people say went even though I don't think the grammar is correct).
2. Had taken (since your chance to take the train is now in the past). |
