Question Question Question

Hello!
My daughter has to present a homework for her English lessons dealing with Wales. she would like to write - and maybe read - the following lines in Welsh:
Welsh is one of the oldest languages of the world and still is spoken by most people living in Wales.

Is anyone hear who can help us and translate these words?

Yours,

Saida

Hello Saida,

Sounds like a tricky piece of homework. You can try the following link for a rough translation, or indeed any of the on-line translation tools. http://www.cs.cf.ac.uk/fun/welsh/LexiconForms.html

Alternatively you could post a message on the BBC Learn Welsh site and maybe you'll get someone to give you a hand. The link is: http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/learnwelsh/

Good luck

That is going to be difficult. I am half Welsh, and can't speak a word. Plus my grandmother said that southern Welsh people don't really speak Welsh anymore (though I don't know if that is true, but she was completely Welsh from Wrexham and would always sing the Welsh anthem in Welsh Smile )
