It is an odd expression, but a native speaker would use it comfortably.
Here is hoping nothing egregious ever happens to you.
If you think of it as a toast or something another might say to you as a note of encouragement, it might help.
The phrase "here is hoping" is a way of telling someone "I hope the worst case scenario" doesn't happen. For me, the phrase "here's hoping" has a feel of pessimism or sarcasim.
The sentence means "I hope nothing remarkably bad even happens to you."
