This question caused a conflict between me and friends. How woud you answer this question and why? In my opinion the anwswer is d) but some insist on answering it b)

A) At/ of
B) On / with
C) For / as
D) In / ın
E) By / on

D is correct.
Originally, the wake was the trail of disturbed white water a ship left behind it when moving. Anything seen in that wake was said to be in it. That convention has been continued even though the original meaning has been expanded to include such uses as the one in your example.
In is the correct preposition to express inclusion, or position in time, space, circumstance, etc.. |
