This may be a stereotype for many people. But I still wanna know what you think about this issue.

I can tell you age is not a problem, but I think that kind of relationship requieres maturity from the younger partner.

maybe you are partly right.

all my ex-boyfriends are younger than me. and they always got mad for no reason. I am sick of that. then, were all they immatural?

I guess most relationships I have been in was with an older woman. High school it was only one year older, but in university I was 19 with a 25 year old. And I guess a lot of others were a year or two older. It just happened that way, I never went out looking for women. I grew up quicker than most guys due to my childhood I guess but age was never really a problem.

Hayde, maybe age isn't a problem in west countries. but mostly, it is a problem in China. Chinese men are sensitive with age.

i think maturity is of course of great importance.
but in opposite to your experiences i thought it would be the other way round, that a woman would rather have a relationship with an older guy because in maturity there's a (slight) difference between men and women (once again Laughing ).
and what do you mena by chinese men being sensitive about age?!
greets

ps: redrose, just because i noticed it Wink it's immature, not immatural! c ya

women rather have relationship with older men? not really. before I am in a relationship, I don't really care about men's age. further, I care more about their personality, sense of humor... it happened that all men who chased me were younger than me.

I don't think you should first set a standard about men's age before you find a date. that dosen't seem like a date, instead, it is pretty much like going shopping.

When a chinese man date an older woman, he always thinks about her age I guess. partly, he would think, since he is younger than her, she should take care of him more than he dose to her. that's the point.

and thank for correcting immatural into immature.

no, i wanted to say that if you look at maybe a hundred couples, the man would be older than the woman in more cases than the woman would be older than the man. it's not that one should look at the age and exclude all the (wo)men who are too young or too old. that's stupid, you're right. and i didn't say that it is that way, i just thought it would be. or it is here, maybe.
greets

Ya, in the West, it is more acceptable, but it is still somewhat uncommon. Though I always wondered why considering women always live 4 to 5 years more than men (if not more), it should always be younger men marrying older women Smile
But usually boys mature more slowly than girls, so that could be why with younger people, but as you get older, that shouldn't really come into play. Everyone is different so you just really have to find out about the maturity level of the person.

it's a problem not only in china but also in vietnam. when I meet a girl who is older than me, I always say to myself: I can't love her. It's possible because of the traditional habit of asian people.anyway, accroding to physiology,in general, at the same age, the woman is older than the man in both appearance and psychology. when you're young, you find it difficult to regconize it. But when you get older, you will see: the couple seems like a sister and a younger brother. Rolling Eyes

really? congratulations!! then your bf is older than you, isn't he?

I got a new guy too. and as usual, he is younger than me, but now we have no problem yet.

some months ago, I dumped my ex-bf without any hesitation. because he showed his sexism, which was what I couldn't stand. then he convinced me to give up a new job task(I got a job task as a vice-boss of a romate hospital by passing a fierce examination among 50 competitors), actually I didn't want that job task either, because that job was in a romate place, although it was well-paid.

However, what my ex-bf told me was:"leave that job alone! you are a woman, you shouldn't take it, that's just men's bussiness!" I asked:"why can't a woman take it?" he said:"because women shouldn't get involved in such a complicated position! women just lack such abilities"

I answered:"I don't exactly know what is the difference between women and men. But I DO know our difference! listen: my brain is on my shoulder, but your brain is just between your legs!"
