Hi,
What do you think of the following expression used at the end of an email:
Get in touch...
Br,
Name
Is it too formal (informal) Can it be used with friends? Colleagues?
I ask because my DOS told me that it was using the imperative and he took offence. What do you think?[/b] |

What do you think about the following closings in emails:
Have fun.
Let me know what you think.
These too are imperative.
Would you take offence with "get in touch" though? |

"Get in touch" is a little too imperative.
Let me know what you think is only slightly imperative and also informal. I would use "Let me know what you think" in an informal note to a supervisor or boss. |

How about:
Take care
Yet another imperative.
Would you then use the:
"Get in touch"
If you knew the person and you thought that he/she knew you well enough? |
