Actually, I will surf the "eslcafe" that's because our Internet English Lesson have to hand out a homework which about making friend on the web site per week. But if I could make a nice friend by the chance. That's really a wonderful thing^^, right??

I think you must be a excellent English speaker. In my memory, people in Hong Kong all speak English, don't you?? So please don't laugh at me ><.... I am still learning how to master my English skills.

I hope we could keep in touch^^, OK??

good luck to you !! Summer^^

Well, I'd love to make friends with you and those who want to improve their English. And Of course, I've still gotta brush up on my English too^^

First off, I need to point out that you have a little misconception toward Hong Kongers' primary spoken language. People in HK do take English as an important language and they're supposed to master it better being in this cosmopolitan city; but most of them would rather speak their own language, namely Cantonese, in normal and most situations. I'd say, just a relatively small population in HK are inured to speaking and writing in English every now and then. And to be frank, the GENERAL students in HK can only speak lousy or banal English and write sentences awash with solecisms. Their English standard is surely Not way better than that of their counterparts in Taiwan or Japan, and they certainly compare badly with those in Singapore (if it's any consolation to Hong Kongers, Singaporeans just speak too much "Singalish").

Well, my English seems better 'cuz I do a lot of listening and reading once in a while. And I've got lots of experience in takin' with English speakers. I especially like the way Americans talk. You know, English speakers from different countries may sound quite diverse in their accents.

One of the many ways for Asians to learn English is to watch DVDs cuz they always have English subtiles with them almost exactly the same way as the characters speak.

I'd love to keep in touch with you guy. Tell me more about you and ur life!

Willzee

Ha ha. Gotta make a new friend every week, birdy? I wonder what your teacher would say when you told them you had a English Language teacher as a friend? HA HA HA! Anyway, I'm Kevin(as you can see from my signature) and I'm an Assistant Language Teacher(ALT). Don't mind my spelling on the net, I type way to fast and I'm too lazy to go back and correct the mistakes most of the time. Anyway. Have fun. Post lots, and make...FRIENDS!

You've been through alota comunication with this humorous ALT, huh Birdy? It seems like you were acquainted with him? I also wonder who that English teacher of yours he was referring to? I can't help getting a sense of deja vu when I saw that motion picture of a teacher slamming that little girl ( who wasn't you, right?) lol~ Well, that motion picture reminds me that I could have seen this guy elsewhere on this msg board, but I'm too lazy to go back and check. HAHA~~

Juz joking Laughing I know this ALT is quite active on this msg board~ Yep, I've seen this motion picture. Absolutely. BakaGaijin has been a lot of fun with wat he wrote in his posts. And I'd love to be a keypal of his too if he doesn't care^^

He's right! Have fun, post lotz and make friends -- with the humorous bunch~
