Hi, there.
We say, "We play baseball [basketball, tennis, etc.]."
We say, "We ski [skate]."
But how about 'martial arts' such as karate, judo, kendo and so on?
Do we say, "We play judo"?
It sounds a kind funny to me.
Would you please tell me what verb we should use?
Thanks. |

Hey, martial arts is do.
I do karate, judo, etc.
One exception that I know of is kickboxing (boxing). "I do kickboxing" is ok, but much more common is "I kickbox (box)" _________________ I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.
