of course! By watching TV, my daughter got to know Britney Jean Spears and she worships her!! that's what drives me nuts!
My daughter plays Britney's music everyday. my nerve isn't so strong. when I listen to Britney's songs, I feel like someone is digging my throad out and squeezing my brain! but when I begged her:"turn off the stupid music! please! what Britney Jean Spears has except huge boobs?" then she answered:"Britney has nice shape and sweet tone besides boobs! I guess you envy her, mom!" |

oh my! i don't like britney spears either, to let you know you're not alone with this opinion!  her voice is soooo awful.. *brrr* but furtunately i don't hear any songs by her when i listen to the radio these days!
yes, i also think that they have an effect to children. all this violence and killing in tv-movies must have an effect on them! just like violent video games i think. but some movies surely have positive effects. so they can learn about life or about ethics and morals... there are endless possibilities!

I don't understand why you all don't like her. As for RedRose: Britney doesn't compete with you.
And to my important mind, I think that idealising some singers exept of yourself, although you are maybe not a singer, is stupid.
reasons:
1. They don't get money from the singer, on the other hand they have to buy their idol's CD's. And if they instead idealise this idol to a strong extend, they are uneconomical, and because economy rules the world now, these guys are maybe brainless.
That's the first negative impact, children get distanced from the real world and they will have a higher value about music than about money.
But money is still most important.
2. Singers sometimes wear ugly clothes, or have ugly haircuts. And if your children, being in ban of these ugly clothes, wear them, then not only they will eat your money, your colleagus or friends may laugh about the way you educate your children.
3. Maybe one's children will try to jump out the window and fly after they have seen Matrix, or one's daughter may jump into the sea after seeing Titanic.
Most important is that they don't learn anything.
But if they watch news, it could help a little in getting to know about the real life. That's ok.

hahaha! Admiral, your words are ridiculous! yeah, no singer competes with me at all  and I don't get money from any singer, but that dosen't matter. I choose my favorite singers by many conditions. for example, I like cool, wise singers, instead of brainless ones like Britney.

Maybe it's not RedRose, but me who will be killed in some seconds. But as I really think Britney isn't that ugly, see here: 
Such a beautiful woman, although she maybe has put on a lot of makeup, but the moment is more important, isn't it?

I'm with you on that. As an old fuddy-duddy, I prefer classic rock music, but given that I can at least respect real talent. Britney is cute in a skanky white-trash kind of way, but her appeal is more in her cleavage than her voice. Compare that with Christina Aguilera who has real talent and an incredible vocal range (reminds me of Whitney Houston). It's too bad Christina has to skank-ify herself to compete in the same pop-music market as skanky Britney.
In Asian pop-music, you can see the same thing comparing the immensely popular but moderately talented Ayumi Hamazaki with the more talented Boa. |

And I'm sure she hates me too, but i hate her more.... 
As for looks, I've seen (and I'm sure you must have too....) better looking apes than her on National Georaphic channel

i didn't say she isn't good-looking, i just said that i don't like neither her style nor her voice or her songs. i don't like that stupid "i'm so innocent"-way of acting when on the other hand she's acting like a whore (sorry!).
Bob, what's skanky?! i looked it up, but i didn't really get the meaning. has to do with promiscuous behaviour as i understood??
yeah, i agree with you, she has talent to sing, though, i mean she's able to strike the right note (mostly.. ) but she doesn't have this impressive voice of christina.

i didn't say i hate her, i said i don't like her that's different!
ookay, i don't think she's good-looking.. she has big b-reasts and slim features, but she seems to be sooooo stupid! just like paris hilton  god!
but you're really eye-opening! so you men aren't at all looking for a girl who has a nice character at first and then at her figure! tststs...

HAHAHA. Yes, most men are looking for a good figure. It's the first thing we see anyways, it takes a lot more time to learn about a character, so all we have at first is that. But a lot of men while initially only attracted by nice *beep* or a great body will still dump a girl if she proves to be really ditsy or boring.
But, on the other hand, don't a lot of girls look for financial security in men. I know a lot of girls in many countries have said they won't even date a guy unless he has a car. And if he is unemployed, forget it.
