Dear Teachers,
which words are correct?
1.Despite the initially peaceful relationships with the indigenous American tribes, history tells us of the successive/ consequent/ subsequent oppression of and violence against Indian people.
2.Thanksgiving ceremoinies were irregular, and among other things,expresse thanks for successful/fortunate military campaings over the Indian tribes.
3.A lavish meal of turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie is one of the main features of nowadays/contemporary/today Thanksgiving celebrations.
