Hi Kacey,

First of all, I think it's really nice offering your help. Actually, I'm not quite sure if I need help, but I would like to have some kind of pen pal (don't know, is this an old-fashioned expression?).
I'm 19 years old and I study English at university (third semester), but unfortunately my English, in particular my spoken English, is relatively bad. It would definitely be a great thing having the opportunity to talk with a native speaker (via e-mail or whatever).
Moreover, American studies are part of my studies (in German, it's called "Anglistik und Amerikanistik) and I would appreciate it if I could talk with somebody from the U.S. about different issues concernig your country.
What do you study?

I'm really looking forward to hearing from you!!!

It would be helpful if you would use proper grammar to "help" people. In other words, I'd rather not learn English from you.
