okay, I can give you my advice because it's what I wished to get from my dad..
Be always there for your daughter, even if your totally exhausted from work and just want to go to bed of watch tv, if your daughter comes and wants to show you her - whatever, her new painted picture, then look at it and show your interest. of course you can say that you're tired, but look at it, though, and don't just go away. give her attention, show her your interest in everything she does, praise her if she's done something good. you don't need to exaggerate, so don't praise her for natural/self-evident things. and if she grows older, then speak to her like you're taking her seriously, explain things to her if she wants to know. children are so curious Wink
so that's my advice. don't think you have to do it like this every day, it's just a general picture what i liked to have from my dad. of course you can mad at her, and talk to her seriously, also you can sometimes just send her away because you're mad at sth, as long as you don't do it so often and you don't give her the feeling that she's unwanted.
Very Happy greets

ps: how old is your daughter?

I concur with admiral. It is more important than you may realize. You are your daughter's first and most important male role model. Be kind and faithful to your wife because, in the future, your daughter will chose a man who treats her the same way she sees you treating her mother.

eda, I think my daughter shouldn't be absolutely free.
If I knew with which boy she slept during the night, the boy will loose his head.
