Dear teachers,
Which meaning do these sentences have, please?
1) A poor invalids diet =
a) → A diet for a poor invalid;
AND / OR
b) → A poor diet for an invalid.
2) The poor invalids diet = → the diet of the poor invalid. (ONLY ?)
3) The invalids poor diet = → the poor diet of the invalid. (ONLY ?)
Thank you for your help.

1. a... (Maybe an argument could be made that b is also correct, but the phrasing of 3 would normally be used to avoid the confusion.)
2 & 3. Those are the only possible meanings that I can imagine. |
