I often listen to music posted by relative amateurs on forums like this one. Today I heard an interesting piece by a fellow named Lister Coleman, from the US, I believe. He calls it acid jazz, which is a way of saying its way off the beaten path, even for jazz. However, his skillful use of the acoustic guitar and some looping software sounds really cool to my ear. Somewhat similar in style to Joh Daniel Winters. Check it out - CW
