By living in an english speaking home and spending time with english speaking people, you will learn english well. I would also suggest that use many of the english as a second language resources on the internet. There are many games and other things for those wanting to learn english.
Practice alot and your english will get better! Don't be afraid to try speaking, we understand that you are just learning the language. If we were just learning your language we would want you to understand that we were just learning when we tried speaking your language. No one will laugh at you.

I really think it is better to have a good English tutor who will give you one-on-one lessons. you will learn much faster with individual attention. I live in Brisbane, Australia, and am looking for new students of English (I am a qualified TESOL teacher with experience in the special difficulties faced by Asian students. Contact me if you would like help.

In my opinion, I don't think that it is better to have an English tutor to learn English.
In fact, we have learnt English since we were students. We may always feel that our English is not good enough; however, all of us learned English before. I think what we need to do is to improve it and practice it more. About above, it is just my own opinion. Maybe you can think about what kind of methods it suits for you. |

Hi Sophiayyk,i am anna from mlysia...
I absolutely agree with u,that u think it is very difficult to learn english as there are many things in english that we should learn. But beside that,i'm very enjoy learning english. I found english is quite interesting language and well known as it is an international language. There are many things that u should do to improve english.
First of all, u must read lots. U may start your reading with newspapers or any kind of short stories. I know u will enjoy reading this as u can find lots of knowledge in english. For your information, in my college, every student are required to make a book reviews. This will help students to encourage their readings. The students also have ther own mentor to help us to improve english. This is like truone2002 advice to have our own English tutor who will give us one-on-one lesson and also much easier and faster.
This is only my little advices to u. I hope this will help u to improve your english. And my last advice, don't be hesitate or afraid to talk with each other in english. |

Hai...sophiayyk and anna
Mm...ya i agree with both of you that learning English is quite difficult. But, as the English language becomes more important in this world, we need to overcome our scared feeling in learning English.
Besides that, we need to make learning English become fun. How? For me, i'll use radio and tv as my materials in learning English. As we know that there are a lot of English programs that are provided either in tv or radio.
So that, i spend a lot of my time to listen and to watch english programs. We also can learn English language via online. There are a lots of free website that can we access in order to learn English. They not only provided the information but also games, songs and quiz which help us in learning English.
In short, as long as we never give up!!! We"ll success. |
