OH MY GOD !!! i HATE flying bugs  and they hate me even more, they totally freak me out, so much so i don't even like flowers because of them. When my friends offer me flowers i simply refuse (its embarrasing sometimes...  ) and say "yeah...thanks, but no thanks, they're probably gonna attract some nasty UFI's (Unidentified Flying Insects)". Such a pitty I can't go near flowers.....
I hope I'm not the only one..... Any UFI has ever freaked you out ???[/b]

See about sometime ago i came to a new city for studies (and only studies!) when my other (also female) friends come to visit me from my old city they bring me flowers, as a sign of good luck and best start. Its nothing like rejecting flowers from a really nice guy (I'm not THAT stupid  !!!) since these are my friends since a very very very long time, i can easily tell them not to bother about bringing any flowers because my PHOBIA of teeny tiny stupid BUGS that somehow always find their way near flowers.
I live in a moderately warm and humid city, an ideal place for vegetation and bug growth, and you have no idea how horrible they can be......some of my encounters with them are pretty much traumatic. I took botany (thank God not as a major subject, but as a minor subject) in graduate ccourse, and God knows how i had to supress an overwhelming urge to scream and FREAK OUT in front of all the class. Botany was horrible  our teacher used to give us assignment of going to all the thick vegetation areas and collect and identify the plant genus or specie with HER WATCHING US UNDER HER NOSE (so no one could cheat) and for me the whatever beauty flowers had would be crushed by the sense of presence of bugs around them. My class mates used to make fun of me because the bugs really were very tiny.....but I can't help it anyway, i can't stand the site of them big or small

Infrared, I don't like UFO either, but I like flower, after all, you can't compulsively associate UFO with beautiful flowers!  for example, you can dislike women, but you can't dislike boobs. after all, boobs are so nice!  |

Yeah, I hate bugs, too. And I will always eat them if they have stinged me.

as for me, I just ate locusts when I was a kids. and that's delicious and that's insect, not bug ! but I don't believe people would eat bugs! |

If you don't believe people can eat bugs watch Fear Factor on AXN channel, they make you eat all sorts of bugs including a maggots on rotting flesh......Ewww soooooo horrible....
By the way I got stung by a wasp about 6 months back on my face......it was soooooooooooo horrible, besides the pain the swelling was hideous and i had to miss university and take refuge in my room so no one could see my face since then i had decided to carry with me in my purse a DEADLY INSECTICIDE SPRAY so its KILL AT FIRST SITE OF BUGS....

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!
Same thing happened to me when I was a kid, but it was only a bee. It made my eyelid swell shut for a day. But a WASP?! Damn, girl! That's painful just to think about! |
