I understand �so did I� in the sentence below means #1. Can �so did I� mean #2?
1. I wanted to leave, too
2. I extremely wanted to leave
He wanted to leave and so did I.

the phrase "and so did I" is neutral, it doesn't implies how much you want to leave. in this case #1 is suitable
