It's on the tip*s* of people's tongues these days.
Is it with the s or not?
Thanks |

I'd say - yes, 'tips of people's tongues' is correct.
If you want it without the 's', try 'It's on the tip of everyone's tongue these days.'
However, I have to confess that I don't feel 100% sure about this, and the more I read these sentences the harder I find it to decide if I'm right or not!

Ask yourself missdaredevil, what are you talking about? You are talking about tongues (plural). Therefore it is on the tips of these tongues.
It's on the tip of everyone's tongue these days.
What are you talking about here? You are taking about everyones tongue (singular because everyone has only one tongue). Therefore it is on the tip of everyones tongue. |
