What do they mean?

1. There will be a six-fold increase in outsourcing used by financial firms.What does six-fold mean?

2. What does offshore fatigue mean?

3.What does offshore and outsource mean?

4What does half-hearted attempt mean?

1. 600%... They expect that outsourcing will be six times as much as it once was.

2. ?

3. Offshore means out-of-country. It only makes sense for a country with a coast. Outsourcing is when an employer moves jobs from its own employees, to outside sources. An example of a U.S. company outsourcing offshore would be if General Motors transferred the manufacture of windshields from its own factories to a company in Afghanistan.

4. Half-hearted describes doing something but having little commitment to it. Therefore, you are not making a maximum effort to doing it well.

Offshore fatigue is a recently coined expression to mean the change in attitude that occurs after a while in companies that have moved their operations to a part of the world where labour is much cheaper. This offshore fatigue occurs as the initial excitement wears off and the original operational managers return from their tour of duty.
