Is it Chinese northern borders or northern Chinese borders? "N" in Northern needs to be capitalized?
Thanks. |

| I think you would say, China's northern border. |

| northern Chinese borders sounds more correct. there is no nead for "N" unless it is the name of something, such as the TV show Northern Exposure. iitimone7 |

In my opinion they are both correct and you could use either. This would be my advice to a student. They are a distinction without a difference.
However, I would say "I am going to the Chinese northern borders for an exploration holiday," and I would also say, "The Chinese northern borders are closely guarded," but do not ask me why. |
