Is there a difference between the two? Which is used more often? _________________ Duheng Deng -- I'm from China. Although I've been in the States for 2 years, I still have problems with English from time to time. Let's help each other out. |

Duheng Deng:
Good to meet you. I believe that in most situations you will find that either "start to do" or "start doing" can be used. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of any examples where they don't both work. I would say, though, that "to do" implies something in the future, whereas "doing" implies right now. But this is a very minor difference.
Hope that helps. Good luck.
