My textbook says both "licence" and "license" are used.
But is either one used more often than the other? Is it depend on what part of speech it is used as?
Thanks a lot for the help.

It may be a geographic distinction. American/British.
Even then you may find that broken down further in Britain. License for the verb and licence for the noun.
I believe Americans use license only |

My question I've long wondered has been dispelled.
Thanks, Sirius!
