1. Is "in the desk" a correct usage? Should it be "in the drawer" at all times?
2. Is there any diffreence between the following two sentences?
(a). What is the man doing in the picture?
(b). What is the man in the picture doing?
Is (a) a present progressive and (b) is not? Could you use two scenarios: in a picture (drawing) and in a movie.
Thanks a bunch. |

you could say, "in the desk drawer" to specify which
drawer...but saying "in the desk" is very informal usage
and everyone would know what you meant (and everyone says
this )

no difference between the two. although option a
is probably more common.

someone more qualified than me would know what "present
progressive" means, and yes, it could mean movie or drawing.
