Hi,
I am an amateur (?) on this but let me try answering you until some professors here will help you out.
He will pick me up at the station is correct because you are referring to a specific place. With "in the place," you are referring to a particular space or spot in the place - the sentence doesn't flow right.
You might say, "He will pick me up at the station and I will be waiting for him in the station."
Not much of help, i think. |
