Hi, teachers!!
When you say someone's face is "pasty", what sort of face should we imagine? Does it only refer to the pale color of the face, or does it also refer to the texture of the skin?
Have a nice holiday, dear teachers!! |

| That dictionary says, "resembling paste; especially : pallid and unhealthy in appearance." It refers to how the face looks, not the texture. |

"patsy" is a more useful word than "pasty" anyway, don't you think? _________________ "This is insolence up with which I will not put." Winston Churchill, upon reading a newspapers criticism of his having ended a sentence with a preposition.

It is used to refer to pale, unhealthy skin color. But in addition, it is also very often used in a not-very-nice way to refer to white people.
