I would like to buy a monolingual English dictionary. It has to be British, have as many words as possible and have CD-Rom version. I am planning to undertake a postgraduate study and need it as a reference. Would you please recommend a good dictionary for this purpose?

Oxford University Press publishes an excellent Advanced Student's Dictionary on CD ROM.

So does Cambridge University Press.

Both Collins and Macmillan also have excellent Advanced Learners Dictionaries on CD ROM.

All of these are in British English.
