You know, watching Holliwood movies, I realised, that they almost always have 2 sides: an Idea (which is represented by the director of the movie) and Entertainment (produsers)
Produsers must know,that the movie will bring 'em money. Look: that movie about private Ryan - talking about this movie, people admire of special effects,and battle scenes, but what about an idea ? Do they talk about war? No,they don't. It's just an action movie. Creators of this film sank an idea of sacrifice in all that explosives and blood.
"Thin Red Line" - that's the film about war!
