Hi raytung21,
An A-list is a group of people who are famous or highly regarded - usually in society or hollywood. Everybody wants to be in the A-list.
To be in the in-crowd is similar, but perhaps not as glitzy. It's usually a group of people who are cool, fashionable or generally admired.
I suppose the A-crowd is something similar to one of the above.
When someone goes to the A-crowd, it could mean that they leave their normal friendships behind and perhaps become pretentious or stuck-up.
