Dear Learners,
The internet is a powerful tool for English Learners. It contains a mountain of information, good and bad.
Always look at the information with care. Ask around and see if the information from the site is reliable.
I've often see students pick examples from the internet and try to analyse the grammar. This can be a good and bad.
It can be good, because examples of bad grammar can bring out good grammar.
It can be bad, because trying to analyze extremely poor grammar can be a work of futility and can be very misleading.
Twenty years ago, there was no (public) internet. Now, we have a global learning environment. Use it well, but with caution.
Lotus has enjoyed contributing to this forum and hope to contribute again in the future. For now, I have other obligations and bid you farewell.

I extremely agree with you. But I think that Only all students from all over the world don't always visit this site. Often teachers teaching English in their hometowns often visit this site, I think. As for me, now I teach my students English.
I am often asked some questions. So I don't know "conclusion", but I must know "reason(WHY)", because I must explain "reason(why)" TO MY STUDENTS.
You may be happy you speak English very well, but my students not...
All my students learning English don't always want to know "conclusion", but they always want to know "reason(WHY)". |
