(1)"Success in my entrance examination will make my mother very happy."
(2)"If I have success in my entrance examination, my mother will be very happy."
Are these sentences acceptable?
Thank you in advance!

Hi,Junkomama
I sense there's something wrong with your sentences.
It should be "My being successful in the entrance exam will make my mom very happy." or ''If I succeed in the entrance exam, my mom will be very happy.''
How do you think? _________________ Home Is Where The Heart Is |

Hello, Daniel-san.
Thank you for your answer!!
You mean that "my entrance exam" and "have success in something (instead of succeed in something)" are not acceptable in those sentesces, right?
Then, how about "My success in the entrance exam will make my mom very happy." or "My immediate goal is success in the entrance exam."
Are they also strange?
With regards,
