Hi, could you tell me when I do i have to use the tense or form "is to +inf."?
Does it indicate an incidence in the near future or can it be replaced by "shall or must"? I si+mply don't get it..  |

Well it can be both actually.
She is to finish all her homework before she can go out with her friends.
Here it is used instead of "must".
He is to fly to Japan tomorrow morning.
...and in this sentence it is used for indicating something that is going to happen in near future. _________________ born to lose, losing to live, living to die... |
