Dear teachers,
1) Would you please tell me why we cannot use the possessive case in the following sentence?
The success of personal computing is the accomplishment of Bill Gates. (and not Bill Gates(s) accomplishement?)
2) Is this sentence correctly written ?
"Treasure Island is one of the best known and most loved childrens adventure stories in the world."
Thanks a lot,
Hela |

Hi Hela,
1. It could be written using the possessive case. It seems more natural without it, though. I can't say why; it may just be my own preference.
2. Yes. |
