Hi,there
I saw two very strange spellings from an issue of English magazine not too long ago. California was spelled K-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A, Korea was spelled C-O-R-E-A. I don't know whether they're printing errors or have other special meanings.
Hope somebody will help me out. _________________ Home Is Where The Heart Is |

| hi...i dunno about korea, but i'm from cali. as far as i know, there's no difference...just one is correct spelling, and another is slang spelling. cali = kali. the slang spelling is usually used by teenagers to glorify the gangster life here (killa kali). |

How do you do?
I am Korean.
Really there are many origins(or hypothesises) in the denotation between Korea and Corea.
One of many origins(or hypothesistes) is that "Corea" is used in other languages, French, Spanish, etc, except for English and Germanic languages in 1700s and 1800s.
But after that, English is spread all over the world, so "Korea" more than "Corea". is used from all over the world.
And now the official appellation is not "Corea", but "Korea.
May this help you!! |
