Dear teachers,

1) Would you please give me sentences with a) AS, b) EVERY TIME and c) ONCE where the future CANNOT be used?

2) Is the following sentence correct ?

As the princess arrives, the band will play some music.

3) Would you please give me sentences with:

a) The Battle of Waterloo
b) The side of the box
c) The accomplishment of Bill Gates
d) A letter of Fortnum and Mason

This NOT a homework.

Thank you in advance,
Hela

As soon as he arrived I gave him a sandwich.
Every time I see a new born baby, I smile.
Once in a while he likes to smoke a cigar.

2. Is correct English, but will is the future tense ( if you are offering it as an answer as in 1. above.)
The Battle of Waterloo was a lucky victory for the English.
The side of the box was stamped with the company logo.
The accomplishment(s) of Bill Gates are legendary.
My father received a letter from Fortnum and Mason confirming his order.

Hello asterix,

Thank you for your exemples. I think that I didn't express myself correctly. What I meant is that I wanted to have sentences in the future with time subordinate clauses with: AS, EVERY TIME and ONCE.

See you soon Smile

As the princess arrives, the band will play some music.

The grammar in this sentence is fine, and could be used in the context of someone describing the plans for a party.

The party will being at seven o' clock, and guests will be given drinks at the door. As the princess arrives, the band will play some music. At midnight, Cinderella will have to leave, and the party will end shortly after that.

Let me give it a stab.

Once you have finished the training, every time you give a command, your dog will obey.

Come on Asterix!
Tut tut!

What hela meant is that he wanted to have sentences in the future with time subordinate clauses.

OK, teachers. All together. Sentences in the future with time subordinate clauses please.

And Bob S, surely you know that as is not a conjunction of time (most people do) so it doesn't answer hela's question. Jeez!
