I used to listen to lots of gospel music when I was young and lived in LA. There were "all gospel" radio stations, playing the kind of music you would hear in Baptist churches, not the comercialized version they sell in big record stores. It is superb, a true folk music form. Recently, I've become interested in the possibility of instrumental Christian music. My son recorded a number called Christos on Christmas Eve, no less. Check it out and see if you agree that instrumental music can convey a Christian message or at least a feeling of love, hope and reconciliation.
