i have recently read a book called "How To Be An Alien?" by George Mikes .
It describes the strange things the English do and say.
I really liked that book,it is so funny.I wanna share some interesting parts with you espaecailly the ones about weather..
As we all know the weather has a really important subject in England here is an example from the book;
for good weather..
"Lovely day, isn't it?"
"Isn't it beautiful?"
"The sun ..."
"Isn't it gorgeous?"
"Wonderful, isn't it?"
"It's so nice and hot ..."
"Personally, I think it's so nice when it's hot - isn't it?"
"I adore it - don't you?"
for bad weather...
"Nasty day, isn't it?"
"Isn't it dreadful?"
"The rain ... I hate the rain ..."
"I don't like it at all. Do you?"
"Fancy such a day in July. Rain in the morning, then a bit of sunshine, and then rain, rain, rain all day long."
"I remember exactly the same July day in 1936."
"Yes, I remember too."
"Or was it in 1928?"
"Yes, it was."
"Or in 1939?"
"Yes, that's right."

The author claims that if we learn this conversation by heart and just repeat it all the time for the rest of our lives in England ,people will think that we are clever, polite and amusing
What about you and your culture?
Is this an important issue for your conversation?
