I come across this sentence today
"I am one bad date away from bitter"
What does that mean?

| It sounds to me like a woman (most likely a woman) who has had many dates with a series of jerks. She is disappointed and wary. She is saying that a date with one more jerk will turn her from disappointed to bitter. |
