Try talking to a mirror or join a club like toastmaster or some other public speaking club. It is also important to remember that everyone makes mistakes and practice makes perfect.

Good luck,

Corey

If it helps, imagine you are talking to a friend or someone with equal or lower english speaking ability. As Corey said, speaking to a mirror might help, so just practice might be the best option. Joining a club might help. I remember when i was still learning english, i had the same problem as you. i did the previously mentioned.

hi there,

I tend to face the same problem as you. the most importanr thing we need is confident. we must be confident while communicating with others. it is normal for human beings to make mistakes. even the professionals tend to do mistakes while communicating such as wrongly pronouncing a word, or have some grammatical mistakes in their sentences and etc, but they still can command in good english.Y? it is because they are command with full of confident. Therefore, if we too tend to communicate with confident, i think we can overcome this problem. as the rest two responses said, u can practice talking to a mirror or imagine yourself u r talking to the same profile as u although they are not. all the best.....

hello Yamini....

i can understand your prob. This is because i faced the same prob when i was in first year in my University. But now I feel I've improved myself compared to my first year. The first thing i did was I tried to mix with people who speaks in English most of the time. Then, whenever i meet my lecturers i try to speak as though i know them for several years. Regard them as your friends but at the same time try to speak to them in a formal way. This method helped me a lot especially during my presentations. I discoverd the fear in me gone and tend to present well. Built the confidence in you, don't worry what the lecturers might say whenever you make mistake. Trust me they will correct you immediately without hurting your feelings. Try out this and let me know the outcome!

Regards hema

i think you must have self-confidence while you communicate with peoples who speak better than you. this i because, self confidence is very important to improve yourself in learning a language. it is ok if you do mistake while you talk because it will give you chance to correct your mistake while you talk with people who speaks better than you. try to be confident and you will improve well.
good luck............
with care, shamini
