Does the following sentence sound awkward?
Since Christmas, I have been back to school for two weeks.
I' m wondering if "Since Christmas" and "for two weeks" overlap in meaning, and therefore sound redundant. Is it better to say simply, "Since Christmas, I have been back to schoo." or "I have been back to school for two weeks."? |

Hi moonlight2005,
Yes, you're right in that they are redundant. Your alternate sentences are pretty good. You might also try:
I've been back in school since Christmas.
Ever since Christmas, I've been back in school.
I've been attending school since Christmas.
