here's the question:

Annie cried out when she saw a truck _____ into a car.

B. bumped

please explain the why~

Hi rockholic,

It should read:

"Annie cried out when she saw the truck bump into the car."

We say "she saw the truck bump into the car", not "she saw the truck bumped into the car"; because you are seeing the event through her eyes as it happens (in the past). You can paraphrase the sentence as "She cried out when she saw it happen."
