Dear teachers:
(a) The infrared ray passes through a hollow part of the first gobo to make the phototransistor to generate the photocurrent.
(b) The infrared ray passes through a hollow part of the first gobo to make the phototransistor generate the photocurrent.
Which one is correct?
Thanks. |

(b) The infrared ray passes through a hollow part of the first gobo to make the phototransistor generate the photocurrent.
This would be the more correct of the two, but personally I prefer the first with a slight change.
(a) The infrared ray passes through a hollow part of the first gobo to allow (or permit) the phototransistor to generate the photocurrent.

I think the second one sounds more correct. If i utter the sentence then i'll pick the first one to make my sentence more clear but if i am writting the sentence down i'll pick the second one. That is all i feel. Please forgive me if i make any mistake. |
